I had a visit with Dr. Jen using the Softwave equipment on my shoulder. I didn’t know what to expect for treatment or results, especially since I have bone-on-bone arthritis. The immediate result was a lightness in my shoulder. I felt immediate relief but I couldn’t identify what the relief was. When I got into my car, I noticed that I sat up straighter. Then when I walked to my apartment, I noticed that my posture was better and I could walk better.

That evening, as an experiment, I took no OTC pain reliever to test whether the treatment really worked. I awoke refreshed in the morning. No waking up due to pain. It took about 24 hours to realize that everything was different. It took that long to recognize that I wasn’t living with pain and I didn’t have compensate or accommodate the shoulder. I finally realized that I was living without pain. What a strange sensation. I don’t want to state that I had disbelief but the results seemed a little too good to be true. So, I tested the results and did a few things that I have either given up or conduct in a limited capacity. I was able to knit for several hours without any discomfort. I changed my wardrobe a couple of times to see if the range of motion changed – it did. I worked out with a better posture.

To really test the results, I took no OTC pain reliever again for the second night. I, again, awoke refreshed not having awakened from pain in the night. 48 hours later, I am still without discomfort. The range of motion has improved. I am walking with better balance. And, most importantly, I am STILL without discomfort! Oh, did I say that again?! I’m ready for another treatment!

My right shoulder has been knotted like concrete all the time for 29 years. I've done everything under the sun to help it all that from lots of massage, chiro, acupuncture and PT (all of which I love and help my body in many ways). My finger and hand joints were painful and so stiff that I couldn't close my hands for hours at a time every morning. After one treatment the pain was significantly better but the stiffness remained. The pain started to come back a little, but then with more treatments, the pain went away completely and the stiffness continues to improve. I have an autoimmune condition, so the improvement really surprised me. I know I'll have to come back for more treatments in the future, but the relief I feel now is worth it.
